The Trabant's best fame probably came from the movie The Sandlot when the kids rode and puked on it because they were all chewing chaw :o)

That's "chewing tobacco", but according to one commentary, I don't remember where, they said that the chewing tobacco was actually beef jerky they used.

I'm sure it was, probably Jack Links' "Jerky Stuff," which comes in tobacco-like cans. It's just like how many movies use tobacco to simulate pot.

I just checked out the commentary on the Sandlot 3 movie under "Sandlot Kids Then and Now", Chauncey Leopardi who played Squints said that the chewing tobacco was beef jerky and black licorice mixed.

At least you got its history right. "Trabant" was the ride's original name, then the 2nd version was called the "Casino" (not much difference, really). I have also seen one called the "Tidal Wave," but I have reason to believe that that ride was just a re-painted and re-named Trabant. The most modern known traveling version is called the "WipeOut," which has been around since the 90s.

These are popular in Europe and go by the name of Hully Gully.

Awesome ride! I rode the Casino 4 times yesterday at the NC Seafood Feasival.

The ride was back in Canton October 13, 2013 and I was on it 12 times in a row. And I don't even get dizzy on this ride. I'm speaking from experience as you can tell.
