The dragon had just returned from his deployment for his Lord, the war that had claimed so many lives, lives that the drake had been expected to been counted among when he was sent. But the drake was a survivor, winning the war almost single highhandedly, his thoughts bent on returning to his princess's side.

His sweet Densetsu, the woman who held his heart for all time, the drake didn't know why the Emperor had sent him away, he'd been brought on to be his daughter's bodyguard and then he was sent away to fight a war he wasn't supposed to be in. Ryu knew why he was sent, he had become to close to Den, the emperor afraid that the drake would steal his daughter away, and that he had already stolen Den's chastity. But Den had already sworn her life to Ryu, given herself to him in body and soul and nothing that her father did would jeopardize that.

On a moonlight night, the princess was walking through the courtyard, pink kimono trailing behind her slightly, the princess was lonely without her Ronin and protector, it had been several months since he left her side and those times were a nightmare to her, she worried for him, wondering if he would come back to her at all. She wanted, no needed him back, she didn't want to face life without her guardian as she began to cry as the thoughts of losing him began to take hold, when she heard the sound of flapping wings...leathery, powerful...could it be?

She looked up and against the moonlight sky, a figure hovered above her, his battle worn armor reflecting the pale moonlight with an almost eerie gleam, she squinted through teary eyes and a smile spread on her face as she went to exclaim his name when the drake swooped down and gentle grabbed his mate and planted a silencing kiss on her, and wrapping his strong arms around her tight. Their lips locked together in a seemingly never ending embrace. The drake letting her go and just holding her tight, the tears in his eyes as well as he looked into his princess's eyes; "My Princess...I have come back to you, and I will never again leave your side."

the princess buried her face in his chest plate, rubbing and holding him for all she was worth, she was afraid this was another of her dreams, and she didn't want to let him go, to wake up and start to weep over him, her chest flat to his armor and sobbing like a child; "My..love..I-I Missed you...SO much..." The tigress wept in his arms feeling him holding her tight to his warm body, she felt his tears hitting her head and she knew that he had missed her just as badly, kissing her head and just being happy to be with her again. "And I missed you, every day I thought of you, to return and hold you in my arms once more...Princess, I love you and I want to be with you always...Den...come with me."

The princess looked into her warriors eyes, she saw his need, his desire and felt his love for her, she wanted it too, to be his for all time, to start a family with him to love him. The tigress teared up again and flung her arms around his neck, planting a passionate kiss on the drake, her kimono starting to slip exposing her breasts in the night, the cool air making them perky under the silk fabric; she broke contact and nodded to him; "Yes Ryu...yes, take me away from here, I want to be yours, only yours and I always have...let's go now my love..." The princess cooed as she nuzzled her mate to which the drake smiled and scooped the tigress in his arms, licking her nose and spreading his wings; "My darling Den, know that in the times ahead, I will protect you from all things that would do you harm."

And with that and a quick kiss from his mate, the drake took off, stealing his lover from the prison that was her palace and never looked back, happy to be with his love once again

This was a nice little commission that I got from  Nightwolf1513 featuring mine and Rebelborns sona's Ryu and Densetsu. The story complies with what Den and I have done with our characters and I love the overall feel of this one, Ryu loves Den with all his heart and he will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. Thanks again to the artist and I hope you all enjoy this little peek into the romance between Den and Ryu
