I'm guessing, because he's a non-anthro squirrel, he doesn't have clothes to keep his USB drive in, so he carries it on a collar. He is a feral IT squirrel.

exactly , alexis likes to wear his USB with him , but wearing it like a necklace and walking/running/jumping on all 4 will cause him to lose his stick.
