I think this guy looks pretty cool. The bangs are the first thing that jump out at me; they have this kind of fluffiness to them that reminds me of a lot of anime I enjoyed watching growing up. The next thing that's caught my attention are the green markings on his arm and right eye. I'm kind of curious to hear more about this guy's backstory and how he received those, if he didn't already have them at birth. Finally, I like the guy's very earthy-toned color palette used for his outfit; it goes with his fairly dark skin tone.
By the way, I also the cloak he's wearing looks a lot like the white mage cloak from the original Final Fantasy series, but with the pattern on the edge being green instead of red. I'm worried that I'm going to come across like an idiot for asking this, but...was that deliberate?
Anyway, that's my two cents.

Well...
He started out only as a white mage, and, after an encounter with a Phyrexian mind mage and getting his mind scrubbed, basically he embraced green mana as well. I might get another pic of him once he takes on red mana as well, as each color had an impact on his physical appearance. Basically, he's striving to take on all five colors of mana to overcome the guy who essentially mind raped him...and doing so was going to take him down a very, very dark path.
As for the cloak, yeah, it was intentional to evoke a White Mage pattern, but that was just me being cute more than anything.

Ah, so it's a quest to gain strength in order to get revenge on a figure from his past...Poor fellow; those tend to not end well whether the quest is successful or not.
So, if it's based on the world of Magic the Gathering, the colors of mana would be white, green, red, blue, and black, right? Sorry, I never really got into Magic the Gathering so I'm not sure about the world this character lives in...

The funnest part was that I was able to get him to regain his memories...sort of. He remembers the events, but it's more like he was watching them, so he doesn't quite have the experience. So he's more...acting like he thinks he should act. Playing the part.
And yes, those are the five colors. Red, Blue and finally black was the future charted progression for him.

I'm actually playing an Alchemical character in an Exalted game who has some memories of his Exaltation's previous life, or rather how he died. The memories have left him with a pretty fatalistic world view, but his primary manner of dealing with this is to piss of his party members in various ways. He demonstrates little interest in following authority, and tends to not think before taking action.
