I'm glad you're dealing with this in your comic, too. I love how Rumbolt is also charismatic enough to convince his wife of her valour and remove her guilt. Some people would be inconsolable.

This is coming to a good close for the story itself, but the epilogue will go on for years, as the mother works to integrate what she did that night with her self-image. and the girls had 'monsters' invade their house, hurt their mom, nearly hurd them, and to top it off, they had people killed right before their eyes. Their entire world has been turned upside down and inside out, they will definitely never be the same innocent girls they were before, hopefully, with helf from their parents and possibly some child psychologists, they'll be able to come through all of it with minimal emotional scars.

Actually, daddy killed the "monsters". So long as he's alive, I don't think they'll be afraid of 'em. And when they see mom getting stronger, they'll want to be like her, so they can help dad (and possibly their future husbands) fight the "monsters" as well.

Scarred? Maybe. But I'm willing to bet they'll be all right.

Very true but if my betrothed was forced to do what she had to do to survive I would never judge or even discriminate against her for it because she had to do it and in my eyes she did no wrong.....

I don't think that there will be a dreadful emotional outcome so long as they stay away from therapists (who would likely persuade the kids that they should be scarred, hence scarring them) and understand that they were not helpless, and that what they each did contributed to their survival and ultimate victory.

Ah, now this was an excellent comic series! It certainly kept its audience (e.g. me!) in anticipation for the next page! Bravo, and hopefully, encore! :)

true enough, but it does tend to soften the blow.

In a situation like that, outnumbered, outgunned, with lives litteraly on the line, you have to use every tool at your disposal to succeed - wether it be to kill an opponant, protect loved ones, or buy time for someone else to do so.
To hold back is not only selfish, but potentialy fatal for yourself, or others.

Now I'm hopeing that the media headlines don't start running a "Murdering Mom Kills Suspects" article.
