So I got a new lens, a Tamron 18-270 PZD and today I took the first test shots with it. Not expecting 'L' quality out of a variable super-zoom but looking for something which exceeded the quality of my 18-200 which after looking through my picnic shots was RANDOM. Sometimes it was spot on others... yeah. Had to do a lot more fudging to get it to look right. Still learning the lens but amazed how sharp this photo of a honeybee turned out (this is pretty close to a 100% sensor crop). Keep in mind this bee is less then 1/2" long. Getting something this small this sharp is impressive with any of my glass I own :)
