The story of the weasel, the fox and the wolf.
This is the story of the fox, the wolf, and the weasel.
One day the wolf fell in love with the fox who lived on the other side of the river, asking, please take my howl, please take my howl, I will be over in 7 moons, wait for me there. The fox agreed to take the wolfs howl, but felt as if something was off about the wolf, so he found the weasel who was friends with the wolf, and asked her to tell him everything about the wolf. The weasel explained to the fox all the poor things about the wolf only having about two good things to say. But dont misjudge young fox, he is good at heart, he only means well if he does not commit to so. The next few moons the weasel watched carefully as the fox became more and more worried, "The wolf, the wolf!" he yipped What if the wolf takes all of my food, oh the wolf the wolf, has he done this before? The weasel observed the wolf and replied yes, the wolf has, he has, as he has tricked another fox, but that was many moons ago, I am sure he has changed he has changed. After they have conversed the wolf came up to the weasel "Oh the fox the fox! How he makes my heart faint and weak, the fox the fox! With his unique fur and gorgeous eyes I must have him!" The weasel reminded the wolf that he must treat the fox like a gem, how he is one that will never be like the others. The wolf replied of course of course, I will give him my favorite stone when I meet him, oh how I will, I will, he deserves everything. The weasel nodded and stayed in her burrow watching carefully as they chatted through the roar of the river. The fox came up to the weasel the next day "Oh weasel, oh weasel, I feel as though the wolf has gave his howl to someone else as well!" Why would you say that fox? The way he was acting, what do you think I should do? The weasel remained silent, knowing it was up to him to choose what he wanted, but warned the fox to give the wolf a chance if he had. The fox went back and created a disguise made of sticks and leaves, to look like a dog, he came up to the wolf and asked for his howl, he tried and tried to pursue the wolf to get his howl, but the wolf only replied "I have given up my howl to a beautiful fox, I will not give it to you, I love this fox, I love this fox." The fox was so strucken back by this statement, and feeling content he fell back, but his costume fell apart, right in front of the wolf's blue eyes. Oh fox how could you! How could you. The fox explained how he was worried about the wolf, due to what the weasel had said in the beginning, the wolf frustrated turned his back, but knew the weasel spoke the truth. In the greatness of his heart the wolf forgave the fox.
The next night, the wolf crossed the river, but when he landed on the other side the fox was no where to be found as he had gone back to his den. The fox and wolf talked over the stars, and the wolf said I shall see you in 12 moons, will you wait for me? The fox said yes, but he was worried how his parents would feel if he was dating a wolf, and explained this to him. The wolf grew more and more worried every night, as the fox's replies to the stars seemed to take long and longer to send. The wolf came up to the fox and said "Oh weasel, Oh weasel, what if fox's parents do not care for me, I love him, I gave him my howl, I will shower him in presents once I meet him and treat him like the most beautiful bird." The weasel nodded and said that all shall bode well, if the wolf's love is true no matter the approval he will still meet up with the fox every full moon. The wolf left and waited, but then another wolf, black and grey came up to the wolf and said "I am night will you take my howl?" wolf said no, but the night pressed on and on, wooing him "Oh wolf, I will share my bone, it is very special to me, as it was a gift from my father who past away long long ago." Wolf agreed, talking about how much they would like to share this bone, they had described everything that they would do. The fox came back to over hear them through the bushes, and saddened he sat and wept. The wolf realized this after wolf and night howled in sync and felt remorse for what he had done to the fox. He begged the fox to forgive him, but the fox's heart was tainted with pain, and came up to the weasel who had been sleeping in her den. "Oh the wolf the wolf! How he has pained me, as he shared his howl and talked about taking half of another food! Oh weasel what shall I do? What shall I do?!" The weasel agreed that the wolf should have had more restraint against it. "I shall talk to the wolf." She found the wolf and scolded him, hurt as he went against his word of treating the fox like a god, taking care of him. "I was bored, I am in regret." Said the wolf, but that was not good enough for the weasel, and scolded him more and more, until he opened his eyes more. Though the next moon the wolf howled to the fox that he would stay with the fox, if he wants, but he wants the foxes food. The fox was frightened, it is something very special to him. "Oh wolf, oh wolf anything other than that! Please wait at least four empty skys! Oh please oh please!" But the wolf would have none of that, he wanted the foxes food as he was hungry, and he no longer valued fox the same. Every moon he would howl to the fox saying that he would get that food as soon as they met face to face, he has ways of getting his food, for he has not eaten for 24 empty skys! The fox worried as he was not ready to surrender his food but still loved the wolf came up to the weasel. "Oh weasel, oh weasel! The wolf wants my food, my food! He has told me he will stay but he wants my food! And he will get it, I am scared weasel, I am scared! For he has not eaten for 24 empty skys!" The weasel was angry, as the wolf had shared many meals with him in many empty skys of recent, and he has eaten with many other creatures of the forest. The weasel scurried from her burrow and scolded at the wolf for he has lied to make the fox feel bad and give him food! She had nipped at his tongue hard enough to bleed. "The hungry wolf no more, for lying shall have the bears attack you as it is the rule of the forest! You will not take the foxes food until he is ready! Food is not expected, it is earned, especially since you will not hunt for your self, and grow tired when you have to!" The wolf apologized and howled to the fox telling him everything he had eaten. The weasel asked the wolf why he would lie, and he said "That was many moons ago, I do not want to remember when I have eaten for the meat was foul and made my stomach turn ill, I no longer want it as a part of my life." The weasel explained that in order to get over the foul taste in his mouth, he must be able to remember the taste, so he can eat a different food, instead of making the same mistake, one can not move on, until they have accepted what has already occurred. As the rivers roar settled within the same moon they all looked up at the sky, and the weasel realized a change. The weasel was now a powerful wolf, one who was loyal, but was not afraid to scold when the time came to put a friend in place in fear of them getting hurt, or hurting someone else. She would not intervine unless asked. When she looked into the forest she had seen the fox had turned into a weasel! For he observed and with his curiosity of trust explored at the adverse situation, but was soft spoken and had asked for the weasel for advice, hiding in his burrow as she scolded the wolf. Finally when her golden eyes set on the wolf he was now a fox! For he had tricked the fox and double crossed the weasel, lying and sharing howls with another, he was not loyal and did not follow through with what he said, being greedy wanting the fox's food, so now he was a fox. The story of the moons after still continuous but for now is left unsaid.
