A lovely poem I wrote one day. I hope you all enjoy it.
Sometimes there are too many shades
And too many hues
As if each and every one of the blades
Is something new
Its very light
Is the vision of nature
And it is always so very bright
When you go out to venture
It seems to strangle everything in sight
Those of us who live modern places
Consider it a blight
Even if it brings life and color to spaces
Before the advent of Technology
It ran rampant in the hearts and souls of man
Its worship destroyed by Theology
So that even a mention of its hues became a ban
Yet it is not something we can escape
We can not hide from what it means
And it is not too late
To remember that wonderful color Green
Sometimes there are too many shades
And too many hues
As if each and every one of the blades
Is something new
Its very light
Is the vision of nature
And it is always so very bright
When you go out to venture
It seems to strangle everything in sight
Those of us who live modern places
Consider it a blight
Even if it brings life and color to spaces
Before the advent of Technology
It ran rampant in the hearts and souls of man
Its worship destroyed by Theology
So that even a mention of its hues became a ban
Yet it is not something we can escape
We can not hide from what it means
And it is not too late
To remember that wonderful color Green
