Would love to know the settings and equipment you used. I have a hell of a time taking night photos.

I went handheld for this one and used burst shooting to take between 5 and 8 pictures in rapid succession.

i was "lucky" to have been a short distance of 7 feet away from a direct strike once many years ago. i was asleep, and felt the charge in the air in the room, and my hair began to get all staticy just seconds before it struck a Base-CB radio antenna tower mounted on the house right outside my window, then causing my ears to ring for hours after from the loud bang, and the smell of ozone in the air in the room after.

That would have been truly scary! *hugs tight*
