Well I had hoped that my Zammy hammy would be able to be around to be in a picture with his sons... But unfortunately his cancer didn't allow for it. I had to put him to sleep this morning. Bot because of the tumor that grew back after surgery, but because of a second that grew on his spine, causing him to loose all function in his hind quarters. He let me know that it was time to let him go. I will miss him with all my heart. And every time I hold these boys I will think of him, his half brother Wally and his mother Morgen. All of whom were some of the best rats I have owned in my life. RIP my babies.

This past Saturday, I lost one of the most wonderful, special, full-of-personality, human-affectionate rats I've ever had. I still cry when I walk past my girls' cage. I haven't been this upset about the death of a rat in many years. I wish I had children from her to cuddle still, but I do at least have her sweet, unrelated cagemates, though their numbers are dwindling (I'm down to 5 girls now, all over 1 year old, two of which are over 2 years). The one who died, Belle, was one I think I've mentioned before about possibly having to take her in for surgery, which she didn't go through in the end, but I spent $300 on her the other month for xrays and such. For such small, short-lived creatures, they sure can leave behind a big empty space :(
I want male rats once all my current females pass on. How I wish, whenever it is that I'm ready to get more rats, that I have the opportunity to road trip down to you, and adopt some boys from your line! This is an adorable pair of little dumbos! What fat heads they have <3 I am sure their daddy was a handsome boy :) Was he a rex too?
I'm sorry you lost such a special rat :/ *hugs*

I hear that one. Loud and clear.
:D They are good boys indeed. the rattery that owns the mother has a lot of rats that are related to mine. Thus why I borrowed her.
I have tons of my rat photos here http://ratpackrattery.deviantart.com/gallery/
This was their daddy http://ratpackrattery.deviantart.co.....boni-361374811
These were my three older boys, but you can see how big zammy was http://ratpackrattery.deviantart.co.....rder-361363123 The other two are still with me. Racket is 1 year, 5 months (in the middle) and Edgar (left) is 1 year.
Without Zam I have Edgar, Racket, Rooster and Pogo. And now Zam's sons Gwin and Dustfinger.
this is Rooster (pearl merle dumbo, 9 weeks old) http://ratpackrattery.deviantart.co.....ef-1-369941812
and this his full brother Pogo (american blue dumbo) http://ratpackrattery.deviantart.co.....ef-1-369941609
I brought them home a week before Zamboni's litter was born.
