Tales of childhood.
When I was little, going into Atlanta - the big city - was a real treat. One of the restaurants at Lennox Square (really huge mall in Atlanta, completely unlike anything we had by us) was The Hunan Wok. I, of course, had no idea where Hunan province was nor what was unique about their cooking. I just figured HUMAN Wok was this big dude who'd come out, and they'd grease up his back and scalp and cook on him. My parents never took me to see this, of course.
Sort of like crossing Benihana with the Jim Rose Circus with a low point Champions campaign.
And although I know better now, I'd like to think that, somewhere out there, The Human Wok watches over the city, using his ki powers of heat retention to fight crime and stir-fry zucchini wherever those are found.
(small sketchpad doodle, so under 3.5 x 5")

He works at Bennihanas. He just lays down on the hot table and flips the shrimp into your plate from his navel.
Ummm. eww.
Wer used to have a place in my hometown called the Hunan Kitchen, and I often thought the same thing. So I never ate there. Now I am an old man, filled with regret.
