Grandragon: CD Cover Art (sketch)
This is a concept sketch for an upcoming CD album by 
grandragon
The album will contain songs and music composed by Grandragon himself. I've been asked to design the cover art for this personal album.
The scene shows his character "Zider Dragon", who's playing the guitar and enyoing a warm sunset.
Yes... this is going to be one of my more detailed and high quality artworks again!
Though it's digital style, I'm anxious to see the final result.

Changed the backside of Zider's head to make it less round.

There are rare moments, when I have even finished a sketch and though to myself:
"Wow... this is going to be great, Patrick. Well done!" :D
I am good and I know what I can do... but it is hard to surprise myself. Without sounding arrogant... I can say: this is going to be a splendid artwork, full of beauty and feeling.

Heheh, this one looks pretty nice to watch. I don´t know why, but after watching this sketch, my first impression for a music is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GeSUvoY2oUk Just the first part, before the rocknrol part XD
But even if this is just a sketch, is really nice to see, I mean, we can contemplate that he´s really playing something with his guitar and with a landscape like that on the sunset, I think it´s a sunset, he plays something to end the day with style ^ ^

Me parece que este art work de Patrick esta generando espectativas bastante altas sobre la musica que el album contendrá. Y eso me austa un poco pero al mismo tiempo me impone el desafio de dar lo mejor de mi en esta tarea. El album tendra guitarras acusticas y probablemente un par de temas donde la guitarra será protagonsta, pero mi fuerte es la musica orquestada y los sonidos virtuales. No soy un virtuoso tocando la gutarra pero hare mi mejor esfuerzo.
Oh, eso seria impresionante, a parte, crear un tema que corresponda perfectamente a la portada del CD le dara un golpe de impresion mucho mas fuerte ^ ^
Me parece bien la idea que estas teniendo :D No soy musico, pero se apreciar buena musica de todo tipo, y la forma en que describes la tecnica de tocar una guitarra sera algo interesante de oir ^ ^

Pues la verdad si queda para el nombre del albun, na mas sujiero que le adjuntes, como tipo subtitulo, el nombre de la pieza que representa mucho todo el volumen (bueno, solo eso pasa si el nombre de muchos albunes fuera "Dream of the Dragon" XD) Pues al ver esta imagen, me imagino el nombre para pieza que seria "The End of the Day" o "The Hidden Ligtht in the Hills" o algo por el estilo heh. Como aun no se como sonara la guitarra na mas le pongo nombres a siegas XD pero me baso en lo que veo con esta imagen eheh.
