Yeah! I figure you'd basically drill the figures so that you'd have some really stiff wire going through the pillar, through the defender, and through the eyebeam - maybe epoxy? - into the attacker. And if you could somehow get resin or plastic beholders, it wouldn't collapse under its own weight.
