without the translator he can't neither speak in or understand anyone speaking in any language other than his own. It also controlled his brain's capacity to read any language, so literally without it he can't even WRITE in english. He's stuck using Darius or Spike as a translator for the time being.

Ah, well now that is major handicap. Well, at least he is alive, even if no one can understand him now.

Makes me wonder what would happen if her blood were used carelessly on someone with extensive bionics. It could be quite unpleasent. :/

I somehow doubt it would regenerate lost body parts. They might be made into a cripple. The rest of them would be fine and healthy; they'd just be missing whatever parts were replaced by bionics.

Which in some cases would really, really suck. =\

My concern exactly. Silver's translator is small and apparently located in the mouth/throat. Someone with an artificial heart or even just heart-valve might not fare well at all, depending on how the expulsion occurs.

Nanites I could readily imagine being purged through natural processes, but something more deeply embedded.. presuming it's a "natural" reaction, it could become detatched from surrounding tissue but encapsulated by it like a cyst, if "magical" and it's being actively repelled from the body.. well that would be very nasty. Inclined to think it's the "natural" reaction though.

Heh. Would make for a nasty weapon in a sci-fi universe. Using magic or some healing power on people with cybernetic "enhancements" and watch them write in agony as the body tries to cope. Not something I'd want to see done.

Good thing magic doesn't work like that on the Overlord's island, or the rest of the planet. Last thing we need are minions dropping dead from heart attacks brought on by healing magic! Would send the poor doctors into a tizzy. Hurting through healing? That's got to be against the Hippocratic Oath!

As we see.... even when paralysed, Hector cannot hide his feelings from his companion (not that he seems to wish to) and the thing he is willing to fight for the most is for others, particularly those he cares for...... he is still the same person he was in his original body, one that lived for others....... I agree with Artemis, if his sister knew about this then Artemis could be in for a bad time....

Oh well that's just gonna make things IMPOSSIBLE.

On one hand..... medical wing will be quite different and see a couple more difficulties in it's functions in the foreseeable future.

On the other? I can sadly imagine everyone in R&D rushing to analyze this universal translator.

Nah, medical will just classify it a "Medical Device" and put Silver in charge of it. See, that way no one touches it but him >:3
