If you haven't read her story, Nyxis's sword is a physical manifestation of her soul. She's under a curse where she will die in her thirties, and the rose on her sword loses petals as she gets closer to her death-day. Despite knowing this, she lives a happy and adventurous life, trying her best not to let the looming prediction change how she would live without it.

Dealing with the effects is the center of her whole story, since she received the curse from trying to change her fate. *really wants to skip from being at the near beginning of my comic to start drawing the ending RIGHT NOW* XD
