Salem did a little shading tutorial over here (that's a link by the way, click it :O), so I decided to try following it to see what I could do. :D

I probably could have done better, but for my first try I'm quite happy with the results!

Although Gluepaw's tutorial suggests using blues and purples for shading, I think dark reds and browns can work well too, if used in the right context (In this case, a vivid sunset-sunrise pic lends itself well to dark red shading as opposed to dark blue shading. :3)
