Just 40 games? I'm surprised it wasn't for a full season!

Btw, any possibility that the local DA in Billings might press charges against Redfield? That was a pretty serious case of assault with a (potentially) deadly weapon in those antlers....

That's a very good thought, and one I haven't heard been explored yet! Though honestly, in situations like this, the sports league has so much money to lose by a criminal investigation that they send their lawyers-- and their money-- to fight off any local enforcement.

Early on there had been a number of calls for it, but Montana did make a statement that they would leave the league's decision as adequate. Reason being they felt it more harm than good to drag the incident out any longer than it needed to be.
