I like it! That synth blew me away.. and the mix is pretty solid for a WIP..! I am a bit envious, to be honest..!

If anyone has a good reason to be envious, it'd be me. Although I try not to, I am sometimes. Anyhow, so you think that synth is a good idea to put in there? I'm not sure if that riff would be my chorus riff or just a c-part/bridge-thing. I could be on a sure way to overload the piece with sounds and textures, or not. I've never tried some prog stuff before.
And the mix is.. well... temporary. I was trying alot of guitar sounds... though I think I didn't find the right one yet for that clean/OD guitar... maybe I'm using not the right pickups combination. It's just taking forever to get things right with my lack of guitar practice.

Can't have prog without a couple o' good synth lines, in my opinion! I'll leave the structure to you. Be bold! But usually less is more, right?

I dunno, I just know I want to hear this finished..!

Though I'm quite happy with the last part, I think we should pimp the rhythm of the rhythm guitar in the verse, also to make more room for nice basslines and drums. And hopefully we can come up with some more also interesting parts including a mind-shattering solo or 2.^^ ...and with some meaningful lyrics, last but not least.

I just asked because I've looking into recording a bass track for something. But don't worry about it if you have one yourself.
