She was fidgety, nervous. But she couldn't help it. Riika hadn't been on an actual date in years, much less a blind one. Bomani had surprised her by putting her in this auction and she had been surprised that someone she'd never met had bid not once, but twice on her. And for no small sum either. Imagine her shock to show up to find a fox waiting for her. He had been handsome, dashing in the sly way foxes are. Her instincts told her to run, dash off before he noticed her. She liked to think it was more habit that the whole canine/feline thing though.

The softness of his fur touched her cheek, turning her gaze toward him once more. The two were sitting at a bench in the park and she had allowed her thoughts to stray. The fox, Zander, smiled down at her, keeping his finger there. Riika could feel the hardness of his claw brush her skin, the contrast between that and his soft fur sending a shiver down her spine.

"You look nervous... Are you okay?" he asked softly. Riika flushed, line pursing as she nodded.

"Of course! Why wouldn't I be okay?" she all but bit out. The sharpness of her words was softened by the pink flush on her cheeks, the way her eyes nervously darted back and forth between the table and the handsome fox before her.
