I initially thought this AA 757-200 was just like any other, until I spotted the small text on the nose that reads, "Pride of American."
The name dates back to the early 1990s and American's internal "IdeAAs In Flight" program, where employees were encouraged to submit cost-saving ideas to the airline.
In celebration of the program, a contest was held to name American's 50th 757. Employee Linda Jo Henderson's suggested name, "Pride of American", was selected and painted on the aircraft, which was accepted by the airline in January 1992.
The tail number to look for is N659AA.
