Studies in Color: Hector, Silver, Darius, Doodle and Spike
Gaaahh this took the better part of the night but it was so worth it.
Doodles may still not be cemented but my favorte natural horse color is the Roan with a white/offwhite mane. I wanted to diverge from my little pony as much as possible given her desgin since i do plan on taking the project further in the future.
Spike is also another one of those "i like it but..." so he may get de-saturated with his colors later. Hector Darius and Silver are pretty much where they are going to be, with the exception of Darius's hair, its not quite the blonde i want but i'm unsure what im looking at color-wise in my minds eye.

Y'know, for Doodle, to diverge from MLP and to eliminate having to use magic for manipulating everyday things, might want to consider giving her hands instead of hooves at the end of her arms. (Maybe a three-part gripping hoof? I don't know, I'm just tossing ideas.) I would think Darius, if not at the start then by now, would have more platinum/silver blond hair.

her having hooves is actually part of a joke in that she's supposed to be quadrupedal her civilization will be portrayed as sentient four-legged horses that walk on all fours. Since Darius was unaware of them or how they walked he taught her to walk on two legs like he did for the mere fact he was ignorant of her anatomy. Thankfully her body was versatile enough to take it but she does find a way to manipulate objects with limitations her wrists are more flexible than normal so thats how she holds alot of things.
as for the grey hair... possibly... im still waffleing back and forth on him being at least partially grey but i want it to be distingushed and not... white, like the doc's from back the the future.

Im still waffling about him having silver hair, for me it doesnt entirely suit the character so its hard for me to see him that way. I'd like a darker blonde with silver streaks but it probably wont show much. Also if you look closely its not thier hair that gets a metallic sheen, thier eyes are gunmetal grey.
