Long story short I had to learn how to use a new program in order to make this. I started doodling in SAI & realized what I was going toward I couldn't get the brush stokes the way I wanted them. I looked it up & calligraphy in SAI isn't the best & people were suggesting to use GIMP. I had been advised to try out GIMP in the past so I gave it a shot. I figured out what I needed to make this work & the brush isn't perfect but it helped make this. GIMP has so many buttons. I only started playing with them. Sorry it took so long but a kittens got learn how to scratch, heh.
I love the negative colors. I also enjoyed sketching all willy nilly till I made it work then poked it a bit. I was fun playing with the brush size & speed. I realized I drew him on an angle. I went to rotate it so he was straight but for whatever reason I clicked undo right after I did it. I did rotate the name so it was as vertical as I could get it though, it was a little crooked originally.
I like it this way. I think his angle makes his vertical name stand out.
