Hey everyone. Carrying on with Alkah's story which can kinda be found here - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10134056/ - its not a direct continuation of that though as i've skipped a fair bit out. We've gone straight to the big guns and we get to see the inside of the Azuri main Palace, it was brilliant fun to write! Introducing a new character too! Love to know what you all think of her! This was a LOT of fun to write, loved the courtroom scene between the two high commanders.
For new comers, the Azuri's are a female only faction in my universe, have a browse of my stuff if you like what you're reading, its a dark sci-fi universe i'm constantly building up.

The signal chimed loudly, it was soon to be Alkah’s time to see the high commanders. Very few other Azuri’s were in the waiting room to the high courts, each looking suitably nervous, despite their ranks. Seeing the Azuri high commanders was something of an honour really and it carried weight, even with some of the more imposing and intimidating looking Azuri’s. A gigantic red dragoness sat opposite Alkah, twiddling her thumbs and looking about anxiously in the dead silence of the waiting room, and to the side of her sat a smaller white dragoness glad in a very nice looking dress of sorts, she looked a lot more comfortable than everyone else here, or so Alkah thought. Alkah felt very out of place within these gigantic halls and rooms, they were clearly designed to accommodate very VERY large Azuri’s such as the high commanders, and not a low ranking Mini Azuri such as herself. She sat there nervously, waiting for the second signal to chime so she could walk through those massive crystalline doors and to beyond whatever was past them, hopefully a better life for her.
How Skixal had done it, she still didn’t know, but the little bug had managed to get her an audience with the high commanders, about the ‘quality of life’ issues she was having. And by that, he meant the bulling and the lack of food/starvation and the shitty job which she clearly wasn’t suited to. Skixal must have known someone of high ranking and been on good terms with them too. This was not something to take lightly and as mentioned earlier, was an honour for her to even sit in these halls. Alkah thought to herself how Omen must be quaking in her boots over the very thought of her even stepping inside this place. The massive onxy and crystalline walls were decorative as much as they were protective. Glassy waterfalls, golden runic carvings and floating wisp lights made the whole place echo with class and luxury, beyond which Alkah had ever seen. The ceiling seemed to be as tall as the sky itself and this was just one of many floors. But its class and elegancy was mixed with a heavy dose of intimidation, after all, Azuri’s are a creature of war and their palace reflects that strongly.
Alkah spent a long time just staring at the weapons mounted on the walls. Each as impressive as the last in their design and all of them bigger than her. The massive red dragoness paced back and forth the room nervously and stopped to take a drink from one of the water falls flowing down the side of the room, Alkah didn’t think you were allowed to do that. As she thought about it, the second signal rang out, summoning Alkah to the main hall/court room. Everyone aside from the white, dress clad dragoness turned to look at Alkah, feeling sorry for the little Kerran as she slipped off the chair and padded her way across the room towards the massive crystalline doors ahead of her, which opened automatically as she nervously trotted over to them. They led to a rather dark and small room with another door at the other end, heavier and metallic in their design rather than the crystalline ones she just passed through. This room led to another identical one, with yet another metal door at the end of it. As she entered the next room, the metal door behind her sealed shut and hissed with a pressure lock. This whole process began to panic Alkah, as the completely pitch black and silent room she was sealed in showed no signs of changing for a few seconds, until all of a sudden, she began to feel lighter, much lighter. The gravity in the room changed swiftly until she could practically float. The huge metallic double door ahead of her hinged open slowly, revealing the court hall ahead and the stand she was to be positioned on. The court itself was possibly the most impress and beautiful thing she’d ever seen in her life. Large golden wisp lights floated around the room, illuminating the whole place with a golden and hazy glow which contrasted beautifully with the deep purple obsidian structure that made up the room. Anti grav water falls filled with golden slithers mixed into it poured around the walls of the room and looped through the ceiling. The low grav in the massive chamber was… relaxing… comfortable. The air had a warm ambience and a gently breeze through it that was soft on the skin and kind to the soul. The ambience of the chamber was warm, happy, relaxed, comfortable and beautiful beyond which the likes Alkah had ever seen before. There were a number of massive platforms encircling the semi-circular room, each for a different high commander, and the flat side of the room was where Alkah entered, and not from the bottom either. Alkah soon realised she was not actually on the rooms floor, but on a platform that emerged half way up. This led up to a main platform in the very centre of the room, where she was supposed to stand to make her case to the high commanders.
Strangely enough, all of the high commanders platforms (Which were much larger and had several personal items observable on each one) had a large pillar of darkness projecting from the ceiling that stopped Alkah from seeing who was on each platform. Her eyes soon trailed down to see what was at the bottom on this room and it looked more like a relaxing spa than a court room, hundreds of giant silken pillows, blankets, tapestries and other comfortable luxuries of various sizes and colours surrounded a massive circular golden pool which bubbled gently with warmth. There was also a number of anti grav water falls flowing down to the bottom of the room down the walls and into the intricate water works that lined some of the floor, flowing back into the pool and creating golden and ever flowing patterns in the floor. Although there wasn’t anyone down there right now.
The not so nervous girl padded her way to the central platform to begin her appeal and waited for something to happen as she stood there, hopping a little as she enjoyed the low gravity of the entire room. A small hover drone disguised as a wisp light appeared next to her, taking her by surprise a little.
“Good afternoon Alkah. You are here for an audience with the high commanders as requested by Prism. Is this correct?”
“Mh-mhmm!” Alkah nodded repeatedly to confirm.
“Excellent, please wait on the platform and the high commanders will address you when ready.” Alkah followed the drones commands to the word and stood silent on the platform, waiting for something to happen. Settling back down again to enjoy the ebony glow and flow of the whole hall. As she stood there, rather loving the whole scene, a sudden and familiar voice called out, shattering her brief happiness.
“You. What the hell are you doing here? Since when were you allowed in the palace?!” the voice boomed out with a hint of venom detectable. A stand’s blackness projector turned off and revealed its occupant, Omen. She sat there, glad in her armour, snarling slightly at the little Kerran in the middle of the room. Alkah was somewhat paralysed by fear, not sure if she should talk back or not.
“Calm yourself Omen, she has permission to be here, Prism asked me personally.” Another blackness projector turned off, this time, it was the other central platform, directly ahead of Alkah, this platform was a little higher than the others and larger. It revealed a gigantic purple dragoness who sat in all her glory. The Supreme High commander of the Azuri’s. Amethyst. Her beauty was something Aklah could have stared at for an eternity, her face enchanting and beautiful in all its aspects, her extremely long and silken purple hair, floating gently behind her as she addressed Omen. “Theres no reason for a High Commander to be rude to her subjects Omen.”
Omen smirked and nodded, sitting back a little in her chair.
“Now then, Alkah. Let me just get up your file… Lets see… You’re requesting to see us because of ‘serious quality of life issues’… correct?”
Alkah nodded nervously and glanced around the room, before staring back at Amethyst unable to break her gaze.
“What exactly does this entail Alkah? Is Omen not taking care of you? You’re under her Core Segment, not mine. But Prism has requested that you speak to me directly and not her… Omen, can you explain?”
“Yes, I can explain just fine. Shes weak and lazy and won’t contribute.”
Amethyst raised her eyebrows and turned back to Alkah. Alkah was usually… shy… and extremely scared of Omen, but now? She just felt enraged, angry… humiliated. And it burst out of her.
“No! nonono! I’m not lazy! I am not! I can’t fight and Omen is making me do very hard things which I can’t do very well just so I can have food! But I can’t do it and I can’t get food and I’m hungry all the time and sometimes it hurts and I’m getting bullied and Omens told no one to do anything about it and I’m really upset and I don’t know what to do…”
A silence followed the little Kerrans outburst. Shortly after, Amethyst turned to Omen again, looking rather displeased.
“Is this true Omen? Are you stopping this Kerran from getting food? Wait. Alkah, what do you mean you can’t fight?”
“Everytime I get angry I fall asleep an’ every time I smell blood I fall asleep too…”
“So how come you didn’t fall asleep just then huh? That sounded pretty angry Alkah, or do you only fall asleep when theres jobs to do?” Omen called out. Unimpressed by the Kerrans outburst.
“That’ll be the wisp drones Omen, they’re producing something that’s blocking whatever brain activity makes her fall asleep. So… everytime you become angry or smell blood, you fall asleep? Well theres plenty of other things you can do, I don’t see why shes having ‘quality of life’ issues Omen, why can’t she produce weapons or do personal courier runs?”
“She is producing weapons, she just doesn’t like it because it requires work. And shes lazy.”
“Alkah no lazy! Alkah no lazy Omen! Alkah just can’t do its! I not very good at this sort of thing… I want new job! New job that gets me food!” Alkah was on the verge of tears at this point, it seemed like it was going to be hopeless…
“She keeps talking about food Omen, why isn’t she getting fed?”
“She just doesn’t want to walk Amethyst, shes lazy and pathetic.”
“Stop degrading my Azuri Omen. Now why is she not getting fed?”
“She is. She gets food everytime she completes a project.”
“And how often does she complete a project?”
“Not very often.”
“Why?”
Alkah felt the need to speak up again. “B-b-because Alkah is getting bullied by Violett and no one helps me because Omen told them not to!”
“How do you kn-…” Omens sentence was cut off by the razor sharp glare she was getting from Amethyst, the kind of which could shatter mountains.
“So let me get this straight. You’ve made her do a job she can’t do, to earn food and gotten someone to bully her so she can’t complete the projects Omen?! Is that what you’re doing to her?!”
“She’s beyond pathetic Amethyst. She’s no Azuri, Violett is one of the least intimidating Azuri’s I’ve ever seen, she’s a mini rabbit minx cross who’s incapable of speaking. And Alkah STILL can’t take care of her own problems. I wasn’t trying to break her, I was trying to toughen her up and make her more responsible.”
“It seems like you have a personal vendetta against her because she isn’t what you envision a perfect Azuri is. The way you talk about her is disgusting. Does she not deserve to be happy just because she’s one of us?”
“No! She should earn her place here and she should earn respect and happiness! She is totally incapable of dealing with her own problems, to such an extent that she’s come to the high court to ask for food and help with a mute fucking bunny rabbit Amethyst. Any other Azuri would have beaten Violett to a pulp if she tried to bully them! She needs to get her shit together. If it was truly down to me…”
“What?! What if it was truly down to you?!”
“If it was down to me Amethyst, I’d have exiled her and left her for the savage beasts to use and rape and eat as they pleased. It’s what she deserves.”
Omens last words brought Amethyst into a state of shock and left Alkah in tears too. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
“You’d… you’d exile her? And leave her to her own fate?! When she’s incapable of prolonged combat!?”
“Yep. Don’t doubt it. I’d have cast her out years ago if it was in my power to do so. And I would have taken great pleasure in it too. Azuri’s like her bring us all down Amethyst, they make us weak and pathetic. There is no room in the Azuri empire for such a dire and crippled individual.”
“That’s… that’s… that’s the worst thing I’ve ever heard you say… and admittedly, I’ve heard some rather far fetched things from you already Omen. You’d condemn her to suffering and death because shes incapable of fighting. I’m removing her from your command, effective immediately.”
“You know what this is Amethyst? This is YOU all over. The oh so great Amethyst, leader of the Azuri’s. Who just sits back and lets our great empire stagnate and age. Forbidding Azuri’s to do what they were created to do from the very start. Conquer everything and everyone.”
“This is not the time or place to question my leadership Omen.”
“No, I think it is actually. Why do you waste our potential so much?!” Omen slammed her hands down angrily on the edge of her platform. “You squander our born and earned gifts. We could have conquered half the universe by now, easily. And yet you sit back and watch them, admire them. Like they are actually worth something to you.”
“The other lifeforms of our universe are entertaining and I fail to see what killing them all would accomplish.”
“They’d be a lot more entertaining bound up in chains and serving under our will! Or better yet, just completely fucking extinct! Your insistence on not killing everything is boring and pathetic Amethyst.”
“My insistence on not killing everything is well founded on the fact that everyone else has as much right to exist as us. Or biological superiority does not make us more important than everyone else and nor does it give us the right to determine their fate. We fight when we’re attacked and we fight when the time is right, not when we feel like fucking someone’s day up! I am NOT committing the Azuri’s to a genocidal campaign just because you think it would be fun.”
“Alkah is just the beginning! We need to preserve our strength and purity. And I am NOT going to have this narcoleptic mongrel have a single inch of mercy under my command.”
“Then you must have forgotten that she is no longer under your command.”
“Good! I hope I never see her weak, pathetic and useless mug again. And when the time comes that the whole universe turns against us because they realise our power, she’s unable to hold a gun because nap time is too important, you’ll be begging me for strategic plans to get your sorry peaceful ass out of the shithole you’d have dug yourself into you! And when that time comes, and our army is full of ‘Azuris’ like Alkah and we can’t hold a front line for shit, you’ll be hating yourself for not following my lead and casting the flab-fucker out when it was just the one of her! Shes no Azuri. She’s a coward. She’s bone idle. She’s a wound in our body, the pus filled boil that we should pop before it becomes infected. She and others like her will be the downfall of our empire! She’s by far, the most pathetic and utterly h-“
“ENOUGH.” Amethyst bellowed, standing up from her throne with fury as her voice shock the very foundation of the building. “STOP WITH YOUR DEGRADING INSULTS AND HATEFUL SLANDER AT MY AZURI!” Her words echoing louder than anything Alkah had ever heard, her anger capable of scaring Omen off her topic.
A silence followed suit, aside from Alkah sniffling and weeping a little. Omen sat back in her seat, arms folded and avoiding eye contact with Amethyst, who was now sitting back down on her throne. The massive dragoness took a deep breath and sat back herself, returning to her calmer, yet still serious demeanour.
“Ahem, now then. We will be having stern words over your outburst today Omen and your treatment of Alkah. But not right now, for the time being, you have no place in this discussion. Remove yourself immediately and we will continue this later.”
Omen remained quiet and just nodded, standing up from her platform and leaving it via the walkway connected to the back. Turning back briefly to scowl at Alkah before exiting the room through a heavy metal door.
“Ugh… I’m sorry you had to witness that Alkah. And I’m sorry about what has happened to you so far. You should never have been put under Omen’s command… I’ll see if I can figure out where the administrative error came from. But now we can begin to put it right, regardless of why it happened. I’ll oversee you getting a new job personally and I’m removing this hideous food system Omen’s devised for you. There is no shortage of food and supplies and there is absolutely no reason why you should be going hungry. That’s just cruelty, through and through.” Amethyst stopped for a second to rub her forehead and think for a while, she was speaking in a much softer tone now though and was a lot less intimidating, something Alkah was very appreciative of.
“Ok… I have a few ideas for you. I’m going to assign one of my top battle maidens to look after you and sort this madness with Violett out, there’s a lot of history between you to which I think you’ve forgotten. You’ve really slipped through the cracks to be honest Alkah and its Omen’s fault. You should be getting a lot more care and help than what you’ve got. I’m rather disappointed that it had to go this far… but at least we’re getting it corrected. Omen will be punished for this, and I’ll need to launch an investigation to make sure she’s not doing this to anyone else as well…” She paused again before looking directly at Alkah, making the little Kerran blush a bit. “Alkah, I need you to listen to me, Omen said a lot of hurtful things there, but they aren’t true. You aren’t the downfall of the Azuri’s. You aren’t pathetic and weak. And you’ll never be exiled, not while I still have a heartbeat in me. You’re a little treasure amongst us and a sweetie. We look after our own Alkah, we don’t ridicule them for being different and psychologically torture them for not fitting in. If Omen so much as glances at you, come straight here and ask for help, okay?”
Although she was still crying a little from earlier, Amethysts words had an immediate and powerful effect on her, things were feeling far better already for the little Kerran. She managed to break a smile from between the tears that was still running slowly down her face, one of the happiest smiles she’d managed in a long time, she was practically grinning from ear to ear if she had any. Nodding in acknowledgement of what Amethyst said.
“Now then, the battle maiden I’ve assigned to you will be sorting out everything. Including a new home. I want a completely fresh start for you, lets leave this mess behind and get you back on track.”
“B-b-but ame-amethyst, what can Alkah do if Alkah can’t fight?!”
The massive dragoness just smiled. “Don’t you worry Alkah. You’ll find out. Now though, I have a high commander to discipline and discussions to have, so I’ll have to leave you.” As she spoke, a separate path seemed to form out of nothing from Alkah’s platform and linked to a door across the room. “Go through that door over there to meet your new battle maiden and get your new life started. And Alkah… I’m sorry this happened to you, I truly am. It pains me to think of what she was doing to you.”
It was Alkah’s turn to just smile now. “Das ok Amethyst, is not your fault. Omens bad person here, not you.”
Amethyst laughed a little and smiled back warmly “Thank you Alkah, good luck out there!”
Alkah nodded happily, her little tail flapping furiously from side to side in glee and departed from the massive hall through the new pathway and door, the slightly hop in her step had returned too, although she was still wiping away old tears. As the large metal door behind her sealed shut in the pressure and gravity bay, thus returning her to normal gravity again, she began to ponder about this new battle maiden she was just about to meet. She bobbed out of the chamber once the door opened to see a very weird breed of dragoness in front of her. She was a dexon dragoness, but she seemed to have fluff, fur and feather on her too, most of which was a brilliant white colour. Her large eyes were a gorgeous milky pink and cyan colour and she quickly hopped over to greet Alkah, she was standing at about 7ft tall too.
“Well aren’t you just the sweetest lil’ Kerran I have ever laid my eyes upon! D’awww! You must be Alkah!” She said, walking over rather gracefully as her long feathered tail swept around behind her swagger. “I’m Arralarx! But you can call me Larxy if want hun!” Her smile was wide and beautiful was she took Alkah’s hand gently and led her down the corridor.
“I-i-I’m Alkah! Yes! Arralarx is a fun name! Alkah like that! Where are we going Arr-Larxy-larx?”
“We’re going to one of my offices just down here hun! So I can find out what we’re doing first! Amethyst has already briefed me on what happened, that Omen’s one nasty piece of work ain’t she?”
“Mhmm! Al-alkah no like her, Alkah no like her one bit. Alkah like Arralarx though!”
“Ohhh good! I’m glad hun! I uh… I don’t mean to be rude hun, but what on earth are you wearing?”
Alkah looked down at the ragged shirt and shorts, this was all she really had to wear, she never got any new clothes under Omens plan. As a result, she really did look completely out of place in the palace, everyone else was wearing battle uniforms, earned armours and ultra smart attire. Alkah looked like she’d found her clothes in the same bins Skixal used to eat out of.
“Oh… ums… Alkah no really have much cloths… Alkah not allowed to go shopping…” Her words caused Arralarx to sigh sadly and turn to face Alkah directly, stopping midway down the corridor and clutching the little Kerrans hand in front of her.
“Now you listen here hun. Larxy is going to get you a new home, new clothes, a new job, plenty of food, some new friends and a lotta love. We’re gonna get you right back on your lil’ feet there and back into the game! Non of this stupid Omen rubbish is going to keep us down! Ohkay? After we’ve been to my office, first thing we’re doing is going shopping and getting you some swanky new clothes! Get that lovely figure of yours dressed properly! And we’ll get you a nice hot bath too! You look like you need a bit of ‘me time’ hun.” She mentioned as she noticed the little Kerran was still sniffling a bit from crying in the court room.
Arralarx’s words brought yet another wide grin from Alkah, her tail was once again, flapping furiously from side to side, slapping against her bum. She hopped up and down on the spot with glee. “You’s taking Alkah shopping for new clothes and getting Alkah a bath too?! OH LARXY-LOO, I LOVES YOU!” She shouted, hugging the feathered dragoness tightly around the torso, smushing her bust against her happily, Arralarx returning the hug with equal vigour.
“Aww Alkah, how could anyone be mean to you hun? You’re just the sweetest lil’ thing I’ve ever met! Cmon hun, lets get going!” She said excitedly, as the two of them ran down the corridor together, hand in hand. Both giggling happily as they arrived at Arralarx’s office, which was much smaller than the rest of the rooms Alkah had been in so far. Didn’t seem made for huge Azuri’s as the ceiling was much lower. Arralarx hopped over to her desk in a single stride, landing in her chair.
“Have a seat where ever you want hun, make yourself comfy, shouldn’t be long! Larxy just needs to find out where you’re gonna be living now.” She stopped for a second as she pulled up some info about Alkah and sighed sadly again. “Awwww hun… Omen had you living in a converted supply room… that’s just awful an’ mean.”
“Y-y-yeah… Alkah’s place is no good, no nice at all… worst Azuri apartment ever Alkah thinks…” she said as she took a seat on what appeared to be a big purple beanbag in the corner on the room.
“That Omen hun… I hope Amethyst eats her alive in the discussion room! She’s one real nasty slimy slut she is… I don’t even know why she’s a high commander anymore… bah, oh well! Right! Where were we! Yes, Alkah’s new apartment! We’re moving you out of that sub village you were in and we’re moving you to a prime city!”
“A prime city?!” Alkah repeated in disbelief. “Which one Larxy?!”
“You’re going to Asmodious! The water works city! I have loads of good friends there, absolutely lovely place, Ion lives there, she’s such a babe. Rightio! Asmodious! Lets get a move on then and get us over there! You wanna get some lunch here before we set off hun?”
“I can haz a palace lunch…? With Arralarx?! Oh yes please Arralarx! Yes please! Alkah so hungry!”
“Alrighty hun, cmon! Lets get some food in ya’s before we set off! I bet you ain’t eaten anything really delicious in a long time have you? You’re file says you’re a vampire, so how about a nice juicy steak huh?”
“Oh… Alkah no sure that’s a good idea… Alkah falls asleep whenever she smells blood an I no know why…”
“Ahhhaha, that’s where I’ve got ya back Alkah! I was lookin’ into your lil’ problem whilst Omen and Amethyst were havin’ their lil’ tiff and I got a solution for you hun!”
Alkah gasped in wide eyed surprise. “You haz?”
“Mhmm!” Arralarx seemed rather proud of herself as she pulled up some files on her computer. “Theres a drug the Chosen can produce for us that’ll suppress that semi-narcoleptic action you suffer from! The same one that’s in the court room air! We’re getting a respirator made for you hun, whenever you start to feel sleepy from anger and blood or whatever gets ya goin’, just take a breath or two from it and ya should feel right as rain again! We can test it at the café! I’ll go fetch it in a sec, its just finishing production now, we had it custom made for you!” She chirped with a smile.
“Wait… does that mean Alkah can fight? And Omen no have to hate me?!”
“Uh… not exactly hun… I did ask amethyst if that was a possibility and it was decided that it wasn’t. Amethyst says that its too risky for you to use your new respirator in combat in case it gets damaged or lost, cus then you’d just fall asleep!”
“Oh… Alkah see… well das fine!”
“Hun… you don’t have to prove yourself to Omen alright? She’s just a big ol’ meanie with old fashioned views and too much free time on her hands… alrighty, shall we go get some food?” She said as she stood from the chair and leapt back over her desk, her computer folding itself shut.
“Oh yes please Larxy, yes please!” she said as she pulled herself up from the beanbag with Arralarx’s help. They stepped out of the office together, Alkah instinctively holding onto Larxy’s hand as they did so, walking further down the corridor and down a long stair case towards the café on the lower floor. The café itself was rather large and a lot brighter in colour scheme than the rest of the building so far. Arralarx signalled for Alkah to wait for a second and she dashed off quickly through a side door, reappearing a minute later with a decently sized box in her hand, bringing it over to Alkah. The box itself was of Chosen design, and thus quite blocky and unattractive, but Arralarx had managed to find a bow and some ribbon from somewhere and a large white feather to stick through it, turning it into more a present than just a package. She nimbly hopped back over to Alkah and presented the box to her with a smile.
“Here ya go Alkah! I gave it a bit of wrappin’ because it looked so boring and official before… needs some heart and soul!”
“Oh my! Thanks you Larxy-loo!” She giggled, pulling the bow off and putting the feather in between her bust for safe keeping. Inside the box laid her new respirator. Designing to fit into the front of her muzzle quickly and easily so she could take a breath of it.
“Just a couple of detail thingies Alkah, the chemical stuff is all stored inside, theres no canister or anything to carry around with you, and a couple of ‘doses’ as it were, should give you 5-10 minutes immunity to whatever makes you fall asleep! Its got a good few months supply in it and that lil’ light there, when it goes red, it means it needs replacin’, so just lemme know when it does that and I’ll gets ya a new one! Right! That’s that borin’ stuff done! Lets get you some palace steak shall we?” She giggled, taking Alkah’s hand and dashing off towards a table. Alkah herself was still fascinated with the respirator but also loving Arralarx’s company and finding it difficult not just to squeal with excitement all the time. She was just a massive cocktail of emotions right now, from being so humiliated and torn apart by Omen’s words, to be soothed and calmed by Amethysts, to feeling like the happiest girl in the world by Arralarx. It seemed too good to be true that she was finally out of Omen’s command. With the possibility of having food on the table every night now and a new job, Alkah was on the verge of tears again, but this time, happy ones.
Arraxlarx ordered a couple of juicy steaks for them which were brought over by a Chosen labour drone, dressed up to look rather smart. Giving Alkah the perfect opportunity to try her respirator.
“Uh… um… Larxy-loo… Alkah feelin’ sleepy cuz of steak blood…” the effect of merely smelling the blood was sending Alkah to sleep almost straight away, but it wasn’t instantaneous. Larx gestured at the mask.
“Go on Alkah! Give it a go!” She said excitedly, waiting to see what effect it had on the little Kerran. She placed the mask on her face and took a couple of deep breaths through it, feeling the effect almost instantly, waking her back up from the verge of collapsing, shocking the little Kerran a bit from just how effect it was.
“It works! It really works! Alkah can eat steak now! Oh yes! Thank you Larxy-loo! Thank you so much!” She said, tail flapping about once more in joy. The two of them tucked into the rather large and thick meat steaks, talking between mouthfuls of juicy meat.
“So… Whats Alkah’s new job then Larxy-loo?”
“You’re going to be! A personal courier!”
“A persils couriers? Whas at Larxy?”
“A personal courier! Basically, a lot of Azuri’s spot things they like and want to buy in other factions, clothes or food or games, jewels, whatever, but our cities and bases are hidden, so these other companies can’t deliver to us, which means unless he Azuri actually goes out there, they can’t get anything from other places. So what your job is, you take shopping lists from other Azuri’s and go off to get the stuff they want! So you’ll be travelling around, seeing places, picking things up for people to build relationships with them. Me and Amethyst both agree it is an excellent job for you! And the fact its personal items and not weapons or precious cargo, you shouldn’t get involved or targeted by anyone, so it should be free of combat for you!”
“H-h-how does it work?”
“Well, I’ll give you a list of stuff to go and get and tickets to travel there and back, as well as reservations for hotels and places to stay as and when they are required. And you’ll travel down the planned route, staying at the hotels and buying everything as appropriate. Then you’ll deliver them all to the people on the list and report back to me!”
“An-an-an food?”
“You’ll get plenty of money to get food on your journey and back at home? You’ll function like every other Azuri, food, as and when you want it!”
A tear rolled down Alkah’s face and she sniffled a bit. “T-t-thank you Arr-arr-arralarx.. thank you’s so much… Alkah trying not to cry but is really hard! Very emotional right now Larxy-loo…” she said as she blushed furiously and tried to cover her face a bit. Arralarx smiled warmly and stood up from her chair to go over and hug the girl, making Alkah cry into her shoulder a bit, making Larx hug her more tightly and wrap her tail around the Kerrans mid section.
“I still don’t know how anyone could ever be nasty to you Alkah, you’re just the sweetest lil’ thing I’ve ever spoken too, you feelin’ alright now hun?” she said, feeling the Kerran calm down a little bit.
“Yu-yeah… thank you Larxy… you’s been so good to me an I’ve only just met you’s…”
“That’s what I’m here for hun… now then… how about them swanky new clothes?” she said, pulling back a little to smile warmly at the still sniffling Kerran. Who nodded back rapidly in reply.

Absolutely! There is a reason why the Azuri's aren't actually on a massive kill-sweep across the universe and its because of high-commanders like her. There is a part two to this story by here - https://www.furaffinity.net/view/10813277/ - its only short but its a bit more sweetness if you're hankering for it :)
