Klar erinnert's an District 9. Wir dummen Menschenwesen können nicht anders, als neue Information in bereits vorhandne Schubladen zu stecken bzw mit vorhandener Information zu vergleichen.

Dass das einem Künstler ziemlich auf den Sack gehen kann, bedenkt natürlich kein Schwein. TBH, ich dachte auch an District 9, aber es ist sehr unsensibel und in meinen Augen sogar stumpf und rüpelhaft, das als (einzigen!) Kommentar zu posten.

Soll übrigens nicht heißen, dass sie wirklich ähnlich wie Prawns aussehen. Das zeigt nur auf, wie beschränkt wir sind.

Aber wenigstens versteht mal jemand, wie komisch es sich 'anfühlt' wenn einem so ein vergleich an den Kopf geworfen wird. Da weiß man doch wirklich nicht was man denken soll X_X

These guys are fantastic. I can't wait to see more of them. A great mixture of insect and human-ish characteristics. Are the spikes on their arm-blades flexible at all or are they fixed in place?

I spotted like 2 typo's. all in all a perfect read :) don't sell yourself short. What's more important still, is that the art is amazing (and it definitly is)!

Wow, these might be the first creatures with considerable inspiration from insects that I like. Make me think of the Hork-Bajir from the Animorphs books.

It's a great design though, I can't look at them and not think raptor. Are the lower arms on a ball joint at the chest (so they can rotate the arms around)? Why is everyone comparing them to the district 9 aliens, have any of you watched the film? Just bring up a pic from the full up(try googling), besides the colour they are nothing alike. You might think the lower legs are the same, byt the ones in district 9 stand on their toes(like horses), where as these, atleast from what I can see from the image, have a "foot" with toes on then. Please correct me if I'm wrong Rotarr.

if you were to do more of these, I'd love to see either some of the clothes they do wear, or ceremonial gear, or if they have some cool mating ritual (like do they change color or do cool antenna dancing?)
