These guys musk too. Personally, I've noticed that it's often younger ones that are more likely to musk. I have actually yet to be musked on by an adult, but got it plenty of times from hatchlings.

This guy did musk and then pooped everywhere. Thankfully I had him by the head when he did so. And then after he realized I was a threat and finished his angry musk/poop spree he slithered around on my hand.

nice lookin snake there. all I've seen around my area is rattlers and diamond backs.

i rarely see those at my grandparents last one I saw was when I was a kid, but they're out there...somewhere. It's usually either garter's or bull snakes that we find.

they're plotting something... I haven't seen any of those guys for a long while.

they come in all varieties of colors and patterns, there are some that are just striped, this one is a "Checkered Garter".
