I was doign a Panther pic for three hours, not realizing that one of the layers has stuck to the white background. Now I feel annoyed and depressed.

duplicate the layer amd delete the locked bg layer, go to channels and click the sun looking button at the bottem. This should make everything but the line work transparent and all you have to do is stick a layer under the linework and add color. I've had that happen to me so many times and someone finally showed me this little trick. looks great btw.
