Here is the completed version of my secondary character, Ilani the Porcupine. Originally, I drew her rather angry looking, since she does have a short temper, however, she ended up looking rather amused. In the background you see Kahle Air Repair, which she owns. However, it's a bit of a rust bucket. ;)
For fun... here is a bit of info on her:
Name: Ilani
Species: North American Porcupine
Age: 25
Birth date: April 13, 1982
Birthplace: Hawaii
Zodiac sign: Aries
Currently lives in: Florida
Occupation: Small airplane mechanic. She also does private flights and some cargo deliveries.
Political Party: Independent
Sexual Preference: Asexual
Personality type: Overtly self-confident, loner, rough-and-tumble, gruff, sassy, highly competitive, blunt, and wild. However, despite all the above, she’s a great leader and has a heart of gold underneath those sharp quills.
FAVORITES
Foods: Sushi, Mexican, Seafood
Genre: Comedy, Action & Adventure
Season: Spring
Favorite past-times: Flying, driving, shooting guns, swimming, and she LOVES her Harley.

I really like this new character, I rarely see porcupine critters on here, and adding your cool colorful touch to the quils makes this all that more unique. I like the posture and pose of the picture and the fact that she's Heterochromia iridium (two different colored eyes) like your original character is awesome ^.^ gotta love it. A very beautiful and colorful drawing hon. I like the personal profile you did for the character to, it's nice to see a face, and be able to put some info behind it, gives you the feeling you know the char a bit better ^.^ Wonderful job.
Heh, no kidding? I live in Orlando myself, just a bit north of OIA.
Heh, I figured that's what "asexual" meant (literal meaning is "no sex" after all), but I couldn't help but poke a bit of fun. ;) Can't help it, I'm an asshole.
Well, see ya, and say hi to Drys for me if'n ya see him.

should have known you would use Inali's colours. :) why, she's an small aeroplane mechanic? I think she would go along well with my "Airwolf" Angelina. she's some kind of daredevil, playing pilot games with the guys, and her aeon-old planes are in constant need of repair. :) they really should team up!
That's the BIOLOGICAL definition of asexuality.
Asexuality as an orientation means that she is neither attracted to men or women, like I am IRL.

Thanks for the compliment! :D

I giggle at how many people are lost at the definition of asexual..
but i must say.. i may know what it means.. but I will never understand it myself..
you've got to be the only asexual anthro artist I've ever heard of... most of us would bone anything that moved rather than not having sex at all

Nah, it's just a dream of mine. :) I always wanted to be a commercial airline pilot... I still kinda do. Now, if I were to ever get my license, I'd just fly for myself. It's an expensive hobby, though. I just get overtly excited now every time I go on an airplane. XD That and I always want to hug the adorable pilots. D: They're always so adorable!!!
What about you? Are you going into commercial airlines or flying for yourself?

Mostly I'm just flying for myself. I live in Seattle and have family in Spokane and Pullman (about 300 miles and one mountain range away), which are all a nice couple hours away in a small plane.
I have thought about getting my Instructor Endorsement once I have the hours. I think it would be fun to bring in new pilots and teach them how to fly. Though I'll probably get my high performance and complex endorsements first, maybe even multi-engine.
Frankly though, I really just enjoying flying. It's so much fun! If you ever get up here, I would be happy to take you for a flight, maybe to the islands for meal, or fly into Everett and take the Boeing factory tour (I've been meaning to do that).
What's funny is that flying has infected my writing. I'm trying to work up a good urban fantasy story that mixes the two ;)

Rock on! :) I'd love that, actually. :D If I ever get up there, we'll go flying. :)
Flying has worked itself into my stories, as well. One of my characters is the Captain and flies for an airline. It's hard writing about something I know so little about. Fortunately, I know a few pilots who are helping me manipulate the facts so it will fit with his character.... but all in all, this dude was born to fly. He has his own plane, and after work, he goes and flies some more!
