My half of a rather late art trade with BingFox, over at DeviantArt. Yes, the coloring is sloppy, but I did everything, from pencils to posting online, today in one of those flashy inspirational things...
Bing asked for me to try his zebra character, Black September, and I'm kind of glad he did, since it gave me an opportunity to draw equines, which I very seldom do. Yes, I've got a long way to go until I can say I've gotten the equine face right, but I think it was a good first effort.

Generally over all she's well done. Good stripes, nice eyes
There seems to be little distinction to indicate where her butt is. Female butts tend to be a bit more rounded than males, at least in the drawn characters. I think her nose might be a bit short and possibly too squared off. The ironic thing is before going to work today I threw out a "National Geographic" book that outlined several trips available and on the back was a big beautiful picture of a zebra, I could have given a bang on comparison with that. One thing that I do remember from the book was the top of the mane was all black even over the white stripes. On the mane, it seems to end abruptly instead of tapering off. Now for an anthro that could only be a choice of hair styles.
