A bit different than the '37s, just seems a bit more narrow to me...though that maybe due to body work differences

It's probably the lack of the overrider's and... ..bumper extensions? Not sure of the correct term, those chrome bars above the main bumper on the '37 anyway. The '37 has more lines going across the front of the car, that accentuates the width. While this '36 has more vertical lines than horizontal, accentuates the height. The narrow secondary lights also add to the effect.
