I think your right...
Los Angeles, despite what anyone thinks of it, is extremely over rated. Although It was pretty dissapointing, I recently went up to Seattle for the first time. . . only to discover it was sort of a scaled down SF. :/
I admit, cities aren't my thing though. (in terms of taking trips)
