Something that has been needed to be done for some bit that keeps yelling at me with every rock and puddle I step in. While I initially thought about giving Scout silicone pads, I like having the ability to slide around on slick smooth floors far more so I made sock paws knowing some time I would need to make a pair of these as well.
I browsed through the styles and really started disliking the look of the strap in between the toe or toes. Seems that's all I could find until I stumbled across a tutorial way back from 2006 by Matrices and modified it ever so slightly. overall in rough materials it cost me about $15 to make these? The fatigue mat was $40, but seeing as I can buy that stuff in small quantities for much less, that's the price I"m going off of. With my thumb hurting I couldn't operate my rivet gun well so I was overjoyed to see her tut. didn't require one.
Needing to protect your own feet? I won't take these on commission, but you can find the tutorial here! http://fursuit.livejournal.com/1396.....html#t62305394

Beautiful work!
Those green sandals I made in that tutorial? STILL in existence! And used frequently between my costumes, no straps have been replaced or any modifications I never did end up dipping the bottoms. They just work and still work years and years later! Haha.
Thank you for sharing! <3

For my first pair I'm stupidly proud, but certainly doubt I would have been able to make them like I did without your tutorial so thank you! Here's to hoping mine last just as long! The outside stitching is good and clean, the inner however (from the bottom bobbin) is a little bit of a mess. Good and strong still, just not overly appealing.
