The aircraft is an Airbus A320-200, one of at least 45 A320s in service with the carrier.

The naming of this aircraft, was part of a $60,000 deal to name a Virgin America Airplane. Anyone with $60,000 could get a roundtrip charter flight anywhere Virgin America flies in the U.S. The purchaser also got the right to name an aircraft within the fleet.

The deal was initiated back in November of 2011.
