I went with my family and bestie to the zoo this past weekend, the Cincinnati zoo to be exact! A first time for me and Cara. They have an area entitled "Giraffe Ridge" where at select times you can feed Kimba and Tessa, the parents of little Lulu who is a mere 6 months old and not yet tall enough to reach up to get cookies.

Unfortunately dad's trigger finger wasn't quite quick enough to catch Kimba curling that long tongue around my fingers and sliming me up to my wrist to get his cracker. If you look close, you can see the string of spit from my hand to his mouth. xD Normally I would be grossed out, but this was just too cool an experience to be grossed out. Being eye level with a giraffe, so close like this, its very thrilling.
