A concept character I had for MLP for a while and tried out in RP with a few people.

Misty first appeared in Manehatten some 8 years ago.

She simply appeared, in Water and Weather's spare bedroom.

Weather Mane is a rather influential female Pegasus, responsible for long term weather planning, she loves her job and she loves her husband Water Mane. Her busy job means she doesn't get home all that often

Water Mane is a very relaxed male unicorn, he works as a map maker charting the current and course of rivers in Equestria, his job means he doesn't get to see Weather all that often and occasionally has to go off exploring.

So it was quite by chance that on one not very special night they heard a strange noise coming from the spare room.

Peeking in to investigate they found her, Misty Mane blinking and staring in confusion at her hooves, still a young filly no more then 2 years old.

Misty was very confused, she had fallen asleep a 19 year old human guy in New York City and woken up ... here!

The first few weeks were rather testing for Misty but she quickly found her new pony body was much stronger and fitter then her human one had been, and Weather and Water were perfect parents, they even found in this young pony that which they had hoped for together for so long, someone to share their love with.

Misty, Weather and Water found the new arrangement suited them quite nicely and never really told anyone about Misty's real past as time spun onwards.

It was a pretty normal day, some 4 and a bit years after Misty had arrived in Equestria, when she found herself back in New York, just for a moment before blinking back to Manehatten just as quickly.

Misty told nobody, but found that ever few months, just for a moment she'd blink between Equestria and Earth, usually with no warning and she'd blink back just as quickly, anybody around her on the trip back would find themselves transported and transformed just like she was.

Misty continued to grow up pretty normally, or as normally as possible with only one notable issue, she wasn't developing a cutie mark.

Years rolled in and she was the oldest pony by a clear year when she decided to start wearing clothes and sometimes pencil in a cutie mark on her flank, just in case.

Manehatten was not that forgiving however and people knew she was the grown up blank flank, after talking to her new parents Weather and Water she decided to leave Manehatten, heading to someplace where nopony knew her.

Somewhere out of the way where almost nothing happened, a nice sleepy village; ponyville sounded just that perfect place.
