So I decided my iPad needs to be more than just this device I bring to conventions for showing off artwork, and just not sit there and collect dust the rest of the time, so I decided to give Sketchbook Express a try.
It's not too bad, and it's probably a somewhat better replacement for Colors! DS (I can't use it anymore because my DS shoulder buttons have stopped working), except Express is limited to three layers, and the workflow isn't as nice. There isn't a nicer shortcut for the eye dropper tool.
The image looked brighter on my iPad though. Considering the scene in the picture though, it's probably not so bad.
If anyone knows any other drawing software for the iPad that's worth trying, let me know.
And now to give my wrist a much needed break.

Eh, layers are for sissies. As far as I can recall, the older versions of Colors! didn't have multiple layers, either. I tend to do all my work in SketchBook on a single layer. Just go nuts with it.
As for the colour picker, I think there's a few ways to access it, but I'm still getting used to SB's HUD and controls myself.
You could also try ArtRage, I suppose, but other than that I don't know of any good art software for Tablet PCs.
