Aries Passadar once again was outside of the gate to Hell. Two days had passed to the outside world, but her time in Hell numbered in months...
It was done. Her most difficult challenge. She had stolen back the soul gem containing the essence of House Scantillian's heir. She wouldn't have to look another parent in the eyes and tell them their child was lost...
But she had lost everything but her very flesh. The Hellfire over the course of her time, especially her departure, had burned it all to ashes. Now she sat, the Marks of Damnation, her very sins burned into her hide, forever etched on her.
At that moment, the cost of her actions, remembering the regretful words of the Lord of the Ninth Gate began to hit her...
'I am bound by the laws, child. You have courage I have not known to come here. The boy was cast down here by a mortal's curse. Undeserving of this place, I simply hold him. However... you have a levy of your own. You have until the end of your life to break this chain, but if you agree to be bound to me, I will be allowed to release the boy. When you die however, child, you will be brought here without appeal. And you will not merely be held. It will be all the torment due one naturally come here. There is no guarantee you will find the mortal who laid this curse. This place... is not for either of you. It is for the wicked. But you will still be here for eternity should you fail to find the mortal who cursed the child.'
Aries had endured too much to turn back. She agreed, reaching for the hand of the boy as the intensity of Perdition's flames ate her gloves in fiery tendrils. She seized his hand as Mephistasm, the Ninth Lord, rent her hide with demonic talons, burning the markings into her...
And here she sat now, as naked in body as she felt in spirit, the crimson marks still burning like embers.
But she had accomplished her mission...
From then on after though, was the start of Aries' status as a living legend. People were all doubt until they saw those red marks, saw the white fire she unleashed, saw her walk through flames unscathed and watched her lift what would take three to do.
But she would trade it all back... if only to save her irrevocably damned soul...

I didn’t see many episodes of Berserk and that was a long time ago. Grew up more on Trigun, Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star myself!
But yeah, she was forever marked that day with infernal burns.
She’s utterly immune to flame, can breathe and channel it and her strength was tripled, but she’d give it all back if she could save her soul.
Of course, because she’s incorporated flame into her combat style, she cultivated quite a reputation.

I've been into that series for a while, especially since I read through the first three Deluxe Editions a couple of months back... When it comes to anime and manga (something I've recently started getting fully into), outside of the aforementioned Berserk, I'm also a big fan of Fullmetal Alchemist and Hunter X Hunter!
Huh. That's some interesting powers, getting to breath and channel fire... I can only imagine the look on my Aries Knight character's face if he saw her do that...well, outside of him finding another person who shares the same name as him, at least...! XD

Pretty neat! I'd imagine my Aries Knight character being somewhat immune to fire as well since he's also an avid Pyromancer and, as his name implies, he's supposed to be a representation of the Aries Zodiac; which is the Cardinal Zodiac of Fire. I...highly doubt he'd be able to breath fire like that, though...! XD
Outside of her many Inflation mishaps, Miss Aries Passadar sounds like someone you don't wanna trifle with...! At least, not without peril to your own safety...! ;)

That is true, yeah...! Still, from what I've seen, those types of situations do generally end up knocking her down a peg... I can actually see that as one possible way my Aries could beat your Aries if they ever got into a fight, even: If it's at all possible, I can see Rothenberg using Passadar's fire immunity to his advantage by catching her when she lower's her guard and inflating her with more fire! ;P
