“Batten down the deadeyes and hoist the kitesail! Ready the six-pounds and fix the plank! No need to check the cubb’ard m’hearties, for today we set sail to Gank!”
Areth be a place only a brave soul would dare to venture. It is a realm cast adrift in a vast ocean of not water, but smog so thick and hazardous that no man has ever ventured more than two fathoms deep and come back up able to tell his tale. Mountain peaks are the only land known to the people of this realm, jutting precariously above deadly cloud drifts like tombstones in a fog-covered graveyard. It is on these towering islands that civilization can be found, but it is the trade routes between through which it prospers. Ships equipped with kitesails use thermal updrafts created by the swirling mists below to navigate over the unforgiving abyss that covers most of the world, bringing valuable supplies to Areth’s isolated inhabitants and reaping the rewards of their great risk. In a land of such limited resources the true measure of wealth is determined not by what you own, but instead by your freedom, companions, experiences, and whatever else you’ve managed to steal along the way. It is this promise of excitement that draws many out to a life on the Seven Breeze, living off the bounty of the gulf and setting foot on land only to count paces off a map. They have been called scallywags, rapscallions, and bluzzards; they have been accused of hogswoggle, backstabbing, and even cannibalism; but there’s one thing everybody can agree on: They are pirates, and what they do is whatever the heck they want to do. Are you savvy enough to join them? Then head down to port, sign the enlistment papers, and throw them overboard, because the only thing pirates care less about than littering is paperwork. It’s time for a stomach full of adventure, cannon-fodder, and limes! It’s time for Gank!

Aye me heartie! It be talk like a pirate day 'ere year around! Ye would t'ink it be a bit obnoxious, and ye'd be bein' right about that, but we're pirates and we're supposed to be continually irritated! YARG!
Seriously though, the series dialog won't be like that. I'm so sorry.

A short-lived comic series in a setting where there's a species of tree that's lighter than air. There are heavily forested islands floating in the sky, and people build ships out of mixtures of wood to get them close to neutrally buoyant so they can use the wind to ascend and descend as well as move in the x-y plane. The company publishing it shut down before the story could unfold fully.
