Teehee, my original design for the daemon fox character I like to use around the fall time =D *Runs off to find his description...*
Here we have a specimen of daemon fox. While some fox spirits are very powerful and posses deity-like powers, this particular kind simply carries the ability to communicate between the spirit world and physical, plays simple tricks on people, and is able to give bad/good luck. They usually originate as a normal, everyday fox, but were killed in an unnecessary way, (for someone to wear their fur, just as a common example). When they died, their anger stayed behind to protect what was wrongly taken from them. Their appearances vary, depending on the way they wish to ward people away. Some will solely depend on sound and feeling to protect their body, others will distort their image by using parts of other animals in the surrounding area. For example, some will have magnificent wings, elongated tails/legs/ears, glowing eyes, horns, or even skulls/bones to overlay parts of their body. They always keep their original appearance in some way, though at times it may have more darker/lighter fur than there was in life, (this one, as an example, has unusually large areas of dark fur markings).
It has been known for humans, however, to make an offering of some sort back, and to convince the fox spirit that they will give respect to the former body of the fox. Sometimes the spirit will just leave, other times it stays behind and becomes a communication spirit and/or protector to the human.
