the way i did it, was i put three different layers and waved them and changed the blending options, but i had to mess with the levels because it kept being too dark

what i did, was i made a lense flare on one level, and did the star thing
then just waved both layers and set them to dofferent blending options

uhm...
where to start...
ok start with a black background
then make a lense flare in the middle of the screen
then, on another layer, select gradient and set it to difference (the bar that says normal) and make it a relfected gradient (third gradient option)
then make two gradients directly over the lense flare on the above layer
it should come out to look like an X
after that, change the blending options (bar on the levels pane that says normal) to color dodge
press ctrl-B and change till you get a color you like
then just wave it till you like it
