I made this yesterday as a test at making something with a buckle. Or rather, I'd made something very simple by hand earlier, but this one was the first I drew up on a computer and laser-cut with an intricate pattern.
This one is 5/8" wide (so it fits into the buckle), which seems a bit thin for a bracelet in my mind. But I could widen it out in the main part of the bracelet and leave it thin at the closure. Or I could just get bigger buckles. (I'll be getting different buckles anyway; I want the type with the bar in the middle, so it keeps the loose end flat better.)
Mostly I just did this so I had a ready-to-go pattern for using buckles in larger projects.
Anyway, I'm not expecting to make more of this particular design, but if you want this prototype I'd give it to you for $15. It'll fit a wrist between 6 and 7.5 inches.
