I wanted to illustrate a bit more of what the Transmission twins would have looked like when they were kids. So, lets go back to the early 1990s and take a look at this nostalgic family snap of Russ and Reg helping their dad wash his car!
The red Austin Metro is a homage to my maternal grandparents' last car. My dad said that theirs in particular was not pleasant to drive (the gearing and reliability mainly), but so what? I was still fascinated by it, being the boyish boy that loved EVERYTHING to do with cars! :D

Reminds me of my Dad's old Plymouth he had when I was but a little one. It was an old piece of junk as I recall but I still have good memories of it nonetheless. I used to call it "James" because I was all big into Thomas the Tank Engine growing up and I used to anthropomorphize EVERYTHING!
