I mean, that also applies to regular aradogs. They just don't have little babby walkers or little spessuits.

It's important for them to learn the basics early on.

In space, no one can hear her constantly licking the inside of her helmet. Wait. No. They can hear that. She doesn't know how to turn off her mic tho. Or that she has a mic.

Egad, this is one of the most adorable creations of the early 21st century. I'd go so far as to suggest its adorableness is worthy of some kind of cheap, plastic medal that isn't engraved, but still demonstrates the fact that some people appreciate it.

She's got all those shifts and buttons too. i think that one makes a duck noise.

When on a space mission, having a duck noise button shows that, even though you're a hardcore astronaut, you know how to party.

And that's really important. It lets her teammates know that she's ready for anything. Especially if by "anything" you mean licking the inside of her helmet when her mic is on and pressing the duck button repeatedly.

Look, nobody doubts her professionalism. It's just, sometimes the pros play by their own rules.

Maybe this is space's fault for being so darn big and full of mysterious smells/tastes/colors/sounds, etc. (I mean, clearly you can't smell or hear anything in the void of space itself, obviously.)

(But, I mean, like, they totally can't smell or taste anything but the inside of their helmet anyway. The reports are just going to come back "everything smells and tastes like cheap plastic and dogslobber; I checked really thoroughly because it kept reminding me of my water bowl, and also all the other things I touch with my tongue, which is to say everything".)

((They can totally touch all the things with their tail, though. Getting an airtight seal through thick fluff must be quite the engineering accomplishment.))

To be perfectly honest, the helmet isn't so much designed to protect the animal inside the suit from the harsh external elements as it is designed to stop the damn things from molesting literally everything with their tongues.

And the tail seals are definitely an engineering feat. The flaw in the design became apparent when white hairs began to turn up literally everywhere.
