Walking through the forest, I noticed a nice yellow flower sitting on the ground. A faint smell tingles in my nostrils, and it was quite pleasing. I bent over to get a stronger smell of the sweet smelling flower.

Suddenly, my hoofed hand cramped up. I dropped the flower and saw that my half and half appendage was leaning more to the hoof side. My thumbs and fingers were disappearing. The same soon came to my feet. My back started to go numb and I began to wobble from loss of balance.

I hit the ground on all fours. I tried to get back up but my spine had already shifted positions. My arms and legs bulked up a bit and my head rose high above my shoulders. I wasn't used to this stature but I had no choice. I soon felt a violent pounding in my head, and winced from the pain. I shut my eyes in my grimace.

My eyes had turned black instead of my usual red color. I looked back over myself for a second before looking back out for predators. I heard the snap of a twig somewhere near me, and that was enough. I bolted further into the forest as a new feral deer.
