This. Is the first valid coloured image of these guys (both existed since 2004, other one was even drawn back then) and dravenes overall. Their colour scheme should be easy as it is green, but the problem appears when it should be the certain hues of broken blueish dark green. (...Say, some dravenes would blend easily into a coniferous forest.)
"Brothers" in a way they're not biological brothers but very good friends (here they are ~25 years [the dravene age like humans*]). Aruka is a blacksmith, maybe he's a midget in dravene standards (at least his hands belong to somebody much taller) but there is no one to say that to him; he has forged iron since when a young boy, he has notable arm strength with his endless confidence, endurance for disappointments and self-reflective irony. The other one, named Rainer, may be a bit dark if compared to other dravenes around that area, but it is explained by his heritage from tropical areas where some races are so dark green they're nearly black. He excels as a warrior and peace time jack-of-all-trades. He can also take Aruka's witty personality (and a couple of other peculiar traits) easily. Rainer has remarkably bright and long crest, consider as very charismatic trait by any dravene.
Guess who is married to a tailor and who lives on his own...
*Humans don't exist in this universe. Just to be said.
¤ Pentel brush liner, colour pencils, white ink. Paper was a bit rough.
Also necessary PS. Dravenes are mammals. Yes, green mammals. Those kind of things do exist in this universe. Try to get that before saying anything like "lizard man".

Very nice background story to go with the drawing. I could easily get that the two were enjoying a day together in the outdoors just by the drawing (before having read the description). Amazing work with the color pencils as well. Fantastic use of gradients in your tint and shades!
Aruka is just telling something withing his sense of humor again.
Hair wouldn't do, neither bird feathers (those are "feathers" but not similar to birds' feathers).
And the thing in my current avatar is not my fursona but still one important creature (now chibified). It is an "it". Lacks gender overall. Just screws laws of physics and causes headaches to anybody who tries to understand how it works.
