Yeah i think theres a few ways to make animations in GIMP. the main way is to draw each frame on a different layer and then saving it as an animated gif, there's also an animation add-on that can help but i don't think is needed if you know what your doing. Just today i saw some other animation add on for gimp but i didnt get it
