I'm glad you asked! I put in the boxes so that it motivates me to fill them. This is 101-120 for Darien City portraits. I will update this image as I complete more until I fill up 100 spaces. Then I'll start another.
I'm kind of a machine like that.
I mostly do remappable portraits because I do this for fun during my down time. I'm bad at color, but I'm great with patterns and texture and line, so not having to worry about color takes a bunch of stress off my shoulders. It's why my artwork is not as gorgeous as some of the other pixel art out there -- this is all 8-bit. It's not painted in photoshop. I do it all pixel by pixel in the Furcadia Shape Editor. (Though I'm not adverse to stock backgrounds.)
It's more fun that way, and I like my style well enough. Still room to improve though!
