For the record, I consider myself a 360 fanboy, just so you know, but I can appreciate Smash Bros too.

Yes, but the XB360 doesn't support HDCP well, and not at all on the cheaper version. The PS3 has HD on both versions, and is more HDCP compliant with devices. They don't tell you that. Only way to get REAL 1080p on your gaming system. That, or get a computer. A computer kinda trumps all here, I suppose.
doesn't mean a thing to me since I don't have an HDTV. I just wanna game, and as unhardcore as that probably sounds, it's pretty much how I view the whole console war nonsense. I simply chose the system that had the games I wanted to play. It's not about who's best or not, it's just about what you like to play.
The premium 360 has HD connections. It doens't always have a 1080p output, though. If the media disc has an image constraint token, which I'm sure many will, as it will hurt piracy, then it will only allow a half-resolution output, even if you're using an HDMI connector. So while yes, the 360 is capable of a digital output, it's not going to put out true 1080p(or 1080i, for that matter) video.
Yeah, but you're forgetting the part where they agreed not to use ICT until 2012, wasn't that the year? Not that many people are buying the 360 as an HD playback machine. And don't forget that this applies only to movies, and not games. Because some people... buy a game system... for games >_>; novel concept, I know.
I was actually talking about the new budget 40 gig version that has nerfed the ability to play PS2 games. I actually had a woman come into my store wanting to return God of War 2 because it wouldn't run on her PS3. We argued for about 20 minutes before I realised that she had bought her system the SAME WEEK that the 40 gig version had come out. She had no idea that they had killed that ability.
