How do you like that machine? I'm picking one up from Craigslist myself on Thursday and it looks quite similar to yours. Have you used it on fur quite yet?

I haven't used it on fur yet. I only messed around with the machine for about an hour when I made the tongue. I've got no complaints about the machine so far. I know Singer is a good brand. This machine does a straight stitch and a zig-zag stitch. Those are the only two stitches I've ever seen used in tutorials. All the reading I did on sewing machine for fur said to look for older ones with metal parts "grandma's sewing machine" they said. Avoid the ones in walmart for a hundred bucks. It really is pretty simple to use. I had to re-read the directions on how to thread it a few times and discovered I did a couple things wrong. Once I got those corrected, I had no problems! My asked me when I'm going to hem her pants. :P

I also saw all the info saying to buy an old one. I have a friend's machine, but it's definitely not going to be enough for sewing fur, and it has WAY too many types of stitches.

Soon as I know whether this machine can handle fur, I'll let you know!
