Don't Let The Balloon Touch The Floor is the most exciting sport in the world, you know! You can't catch it, you just have to bat it or kick it or bounce it off your head - and it's the most fun if you hit it really hard and do dramatic dives to stop it just fractions of an inch from the floor!
This game has been going on for long enough that some players are going to need fresh diapers or shorts when it ends (it ends when everyone's too tired to play any more). It's not the kind of game that someone wins, but Zee-Zee knows he used the potty while Kaffre was getting into his mittens and socks (he sometimes forgets not to use those claws, which can be bad for balloon games), so he's going to get the big prize of a grown-up saying "Still dry? What a big squirrel!"

Ooh! How right you are, Zee! "Don't Let the Balloon Touch the Ground" is an epic game!
When I was younger, and my niece was about my son's age, I used to play that game with her and she LOVED it. The thrill and giggles of watching a balloon go wildly about as you bat it back-and-forth in an attempt to not let it hit the ground. Kazootles! Thinking of all the silly movements and positions I had to do to keep it airborne sometimes is quite a hoot!
One trick I enjoyed in particular was balancing the balloon on my arm. I'd have to wiggle my arm itself as the balloon kept teetering from side-to-side until I just flicked it up to let it go towards its intended target. Made me feel like one of those basketball players who can spin a ball on their finger.
