As some of you might know... I am on a fucking low carb diet now. "Fucking" there is not about diet, it's just a part of "fucking low". I can't say I'm zero-carb, but if there was more food choices with none, I'd be.
Anyway... When your mate and kids cook and eat stuff, it is kinda hard...
So they made themselves the pizza, and I decided to make something, too :)
Here, sliced zucchini instead of dough base (the plus is, you can easily form shapes from the slices :)
Good stuff to put as toppings: meat, fish, essentially, anything that wiggled on its own. Eggs. Olives (preferably green or natural, not the black cocktail crap loaded to the brim with ferrous gluconate because someone thinks they need to be pitch black). Mushrooms. Greenery of all sorts, whatever you think tastier. I prefer dill or parsley, but YMMV -- I just personally have an intense dislike for coriander leaves, to me, they taste like kerosene :)
Stuff that's ok, but don't add too much is, first of all, classics like tomatoes and pepper, especially sweet varieties. I list garlic here, too, because while most people would put only a little anyway, I am damn tempted to use it in quantities which would screw up my carb count on it alone :) Funny, /leaner/ cheese goes here, too, if you're tempted to make too much, but then if you eat those amounts... I don't think your diet is working anyway :) Fat cheese... As much as will fit.
Stuff that is a definite no go: potatoes, carrots, anything else sweet or starchy, any beans, etc. And no dough :)
... Of course, if you don't give a rat's tail end about the carb count and just wanna try something different or healthier than dough, you can put anything you want on top and just have as much fun as you could :)
